The Homestead has a special charm that many longtime visitors will recognize, but recent renovations stripped away some of its original character. While the grounds are beautifully maintained, the lengthy walk from the parking lot to the room and a disappointing lack of pool access left me feeling underwhelmed. The staff's response to issues could also improve, making this stay less than perfect for what I paid.

The room was clean and comfortable, but I missed the classic features that were replaced with more modern designs. It was nicely furnished, though it felt less luxurious than expected for the price.

While check-in was smooth, service fell short when I reported maintenance issues in my room. I encountered a lack of follow-up and assistance, which was frustrating during my stay.
Location

The location is quite lovely, set in beautifully manicured grounds, but getting around with heavy luggage was inconvenient due to the long distances from the parking area to the rooms.

The construction work made navigating the resort less enjoyable, further detracting from my overall experience. I can't recommend it based on my visit.

My stay at the Homestead was quite the adventure, especially walking through deep snow to find my room, but I appreciated the beautiful ice sculptures and fun activities. The rooms, however, felt outdated and not particularly well-maintained, and the overall service left much to be desired with several lapses. The amenities like the hot mineral pool seemed appealing, but I found other aspects disappointing, and I'm unsure if I'd return.

I had high hopes for my stay at this hotel, but it quickly turned sour. While I loved the location and the views from my room, the cleanliness of the sheets and the service left much to be desired. The long walks to the room from the parking lot were also a bit inconvenient. Overall, I don't think I would choose to stay here again due to the service issues and the cleanliness problems I encountered.

The location was convenient for exploring the area, but the dining options and facilities did not meet the standards I was hoping for.
